About Us

Ashcroft Trailer Hire Ltd began life as a haulage business in the early 1960s.

After purchasing new trailers, the owners saw a opportunity to hire trailers to other hauliers and so the idea of hiring on a commercial bases was taken.

Ashcroft and Fair Ltd was formed in the late 1960s from the original idea and the name later shortened to A & F Trailer Hire Ltd.

In 1983 the name was changed again due to the retirement of one of the partners and the company uses the Ashcroft Trailer Hire name to this day.
